I recommend you to visit the page “Invader’s from the sea” This film illustrate the problem ballast water can cause to the environment.
This test was done by Bergen Høyskole and carried out in November 2017. You’ll find a short video of the test. The result came out very positive from a Ceobas point of view, and indicate a 2-3 increase of speed during a ballasted trip with all the tunnels in an open position.
On the last page you will find a link to all the IMO publication regarding ballast water that are issued.

I hope as many as possible comment my ide for next generation ballast free ships. Today ship need to take ballast onboard ballast when they cross an ocean in light draft. Light draft can be du to high volume cargoes with low weight or the ship is empty. A
